The self-help packets consist of instructions and forms to help you represent yourself. In the Seventh Judicial Circuit, that is, Flagler, Putnum, St. Johns and Volusia Counties, free workshops, taught by a local attorney, are available (except for Name Change and Recognition and Enforcement of Out-of-State Custody Orders.) The following self-help law books are available for use in the Law Library's Daytona and DeLand Branches. These books discuss various basic legal procedures. Many of the titles include sample forms, which may be photocopied. This list is updated annually, for more current information, please contact the Law Library. The Law Library also has many legal treatises and form books available to assist your legal information needs. The Law Library photocopy charge is .25 per copy.

Tapes may be viewed/listened to at the Law Library free of charge.

All tapes can be delivered to either branch within 48 hours.

RENTAL POLICY: A $25.00 deposit per tape/title is required. Florida Bar number or other official ID information will be recorded. Tapes may be borrowed for a period of 5 business days, and a $5.00 per business day lending fee applies. If a tape is returned by 10:00 a.m. the following business day, a charge will not be assessed for that day. Holidays and weekends do not count as business days. Overdue tapes result in a $10.00 per business day late fee. There is a two (2) title limit per person. Rental privileges may be revoked due to repeated or extensive late returns. Additional policies may apply, contact the Law Library.

IN-HOUSE DESKTOP RESOURCES

Many legal research tools are available on the Law Library’s computer desktops. Westlaw & Lexis are available in the Daytona Beach and DeLand branches; Legal research workstations in the New Smyrna Beach and Deltona Public Libraries also have access to Lexis. Florida Probate and Guardianship forms, Family Law forms, Power of Attorney, Florida Legal Secretaries Handbook, Small Claims Information and many more legal research tools are available. Please contact the law library for additional information.
